Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures expressed different comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making divisive claims that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan characterized the statements as "shocking" and implied they showed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide could have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the passing was made.
