Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

This young athlete has substantial online audience

The young golfer will have numerous high-profile backers as she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, operates several golf courses and often matches against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.

Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially told me to play and enjoy myself," she added.

"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."

While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

But she's able to get advice from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.

"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.

"And he's an even better individual. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."

Kai will face some of top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly among younger fans.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and has started her own fashion and living brand.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
